Your Voice Matters: Help Shape the Future of the Behavioral Health Workforce!

Kaiser Permanente and the National Council for Mental Wellbeing have partnered with the American Institutes for Research (AIR) to hold discussion groups to understand your experience in clinical training and working toward licensure in behavioral health. In the discussion group, the AIR team will ask questions like:

· How would you characterize your academic and/or post-master’s clinical training experience?
· What barriers have you faced in pursuing a license?
· What supports would be/have been helpful to you during your clinical training and pursuit of licensure?

AIR’s goal is to identify ways to make it easier and faster for people to become licensed behavioral health clinicians, particularly people who have diverse identities and who work in community settings.

The study team is interested in speaking with the following folks:

1) Students pursuing their master’s degree in Georgia or Colorado in Clinical social work, Professional clinical counseling, Professional counseling, Mental health counseling, and/or Marriage and family therapy,

2) Individuals who have obtained a master’s degree in Georgia or Colorado in one of the above programs and are unlicensed or partially licensed. (This includes people who are working toward their full clinical licensure or have paused or opted out of pursuit of licensure.),

3) Practitioners who have obtained full licensure in Georgia or Colorado and are practicing in their respective areas of training.

AIR will hold discussion groups in March and early April 2025. Each discussion group will last around 90 minutes and will be held virtually. As a thank you, you will receive a $75 gift card for your valuable time and thoughts.
