Jurisprudence Exam Prep Class November 1, 2024

The class will strengthen the knowledge of ethics and jurisprudence for the addiction counselor as this is essential for safe practice. The class will cover the Colorado Mental Health Practice Act that regulates the practice of psychotherapy in Colorado, and introduce the student to the regulatory system and the role of DORA (Dept of Regulatory Agencies) and OBH (Office of Behavioral Health) in the development and credentialing of the addiction counselor.

 

Time/Duration: Virtual Classroom meets online via Zoom or Google Meet from 8:30am – 3:30pm for 1 day. Students will also have handouts and resource material for the class as well as the final exam and course evaluation. Enrolled students will receive an online classroom login 2-5 days prior to the class start date.

Access: must download free Zoom or Google Meet application on a video-capable phone, laptop, or desktop.
